Billy Joel Week!

So next week Glee will be doing an entire episode of Billy Joel songs! Being a fellow Long Islander I can truly say that I am extremely excited about this one! My parents listened to Billy Joel all the time when we were younger, so my brother, sister, and I have also come to love his music. I am pretty much always singing along with the cast during the episodes, but next week I will be dancing too! My dad watches with me sometimes and he throws out his comments about some of the renditions the Glee cast does, especially during Beatles week, but I think he's really going to love what they do next week. Lea Michele and Jacob Artist are also both new Yorkers so I'm really hoping they get some solos next week. I can't wait for this one!

I wrote this post on Facebook back on October 10th after watching The Quarterback, which was Glee's tribute to Cory Monteith and Finn Hudson. This was seriously one of the best tribute episodes I've ever seen done and it was so powerful, raw, and real. I still won't let anyone delete it from our DVR at home. I think this episode truly showed how much of a family the entire cast and crew is and how strong they all are, especially when they stick together through the rough times.

The cast and crew of Glee did extraordinary! Lea Michele is so amazing for deciding to do this tribute because Cory deserved it. He was a huge inspiration to so many people and changed so many lives. He will never be forgotten and will always be loved by his family, friends, and of course by us Gleeks
